Andy Ayim MBE

Andy Ayim MBE
My Work should be more than a pay check—it should be a source of fulfilment. I believe that when workplaces empower curiosity, nurture authentic connection, and align personal purpose with meaningful contribution, people thrive—and so do organizations. As a leadership advisor and facilitator, I specialize in helping managers transform their teams and cultures by focusing on what truly matters: creating environments where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to bring their best selves to work. Most managers are promoted because of technical expertise, but many struggle with the human side of leadership. They face the challenge of building trust, fostering connection, and recognizing the unique contributions of their team members. That’s where I come in. Through my talks, workshops, and consulting, I equip leaders with the tools to: Lead with curiosity and ask better questions. Build trust and psychological safety through authentic connection. Inspire meaningful contribution by aligning individual strengths with team goals. Fulfilment isn’t something we find outside of work—it’s something we build within it. My mission is to help managers become the linchpins of culture, creating workplaces where people feel empowered, engaged, and fulfilled. I’ve worked with organizations like Google, Tesco, Nando’s, Uber, and Novartis to help leaders turn workplaces into thriving ecosystems of growth, trust, and impact. If you’re ready to rethink leadership and build a team that thrives, let’s connect.

My zeal for education has enabled me the privilege of working in educator and teaching roles since 2000, as Learning Support, Learning Mentor, Lead of Creative Writing workshops, heritage and international development programs lead, and a lecturer in further and higher education travel and tourism courses. Being a multidisciplinary creative artist, I combine the literary arts, visual arts and performing arts for personnel development and community empowerment delivering within statutory education, institutions and community settings. With a passion for heritage and diversity, my previous role as Project Lead involved orchestrating a comprehensive heritage programme. We brought to life the stories of pioneering women in politics and STEM, capturing their legacies in a celebrated film and supplementary e-book for the ‘Brent Women of Renown’ project. This initiative not only enhanced educational resources but also highlighted the importance of diverse narratives in shaping our understanding of history. As a Storyteller, I’ve translated the rich tapestry of the Windrush Generation’s experiences into compelling poetry and dramatic pieces, delivering them across community spaces. This work, especially for the Windrush 75 history, reinforced the power of storytelling in preserving cultural heritage and promoting inclusivity. My approach integrates project coordination skills with a deep commitment to fostering engagement and empowerment through the arts. Additional keynote speaking bookings have included diversity in aviation and wellbeing for women. My directional debut documentary drama film ‘Flying for Britain’ which features the story of WW2 hero Flt Lt Johnny Smythe from Sierra Leonne premiered attracting over 60k views, thus indicating the need to bring captivating DEI storytelling to the market. Being a successful self-starter independently creating content in book and film media and founder of the empowering FLY GIRLS initiative I have helped emerging creatives find their voice and define their narrative in one-to-one consultations. I am motivated and rewarded to see new writers I have coached become successful authors and speakers, and my students excel in their courses.

Dr Jo Flack

Dr Jo Flack
I am a community-rooted clinical psychologist and the founder of Doing Better Therapy, a space grounded in collective care, justice, and liberation. My practice centres people, not pathologies—especially those who’ve been pushed to the margins by systems that fail to see their full humanity.
With over 25 years of experience in London—one of the most culturally vibrant yet systemically inequitable cities—I’ve walked alongside families, young people, and survivors navigating complex trauma, displacement, and institutional harm. My work spans across inpatient and outpatient settings, including NHS, Children’s Services, CAMHS, and specialist services for care-experienced, asylum-seeking, and refugee communities—many of whom are still actively resisting erasure and exclusion.
My approach isn’t about fitting people into clinical boxes. I draw from systemic, trauma-informed, and decolonial frameworks that honour context—social, political, familial, and ancestral. I recognize that healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in relationship. And any model that ignores racism, migration, poverty, or colonization is incomplete.
As a white practitioner, I hold responsibility for dismantling power imbalances in the therapy room and in the field more broadly. This includes challenging the dominance of Eurocentric models, and making space for diverse ways of knowing, being, parenting, and healing—many of which are already thriving in the communities I serve.
Healing work should always be accountable to those most impacted. That’s the heart of what Doing Better means.
